Fillmore and Stutterd Reunite at TekworkX
Sam Fillmore will line up for TekworkX Motorsport this weekend in Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge, linking up with Danny Stutterd once again after the pair claimed a Bathurst 12 Hour podium in 2018. The duo in Pro-Am are joined by Nathan Sticklen in Class B, who makes his first start at Mount Panorama.
Stutterd returns for his second event with the team in 2022 after making his debut for TekworkX Motorsport at Sandown Raceway where he took pole position and a race win. Sticklen has entered every round this season, in his first year of racing, notching up ever improving results in the older generation Class B car.
“I’m preparing well and crucially I’m feeling calm, very excited and grateful to be here, this track demands a lot of respect and I’m going to give it that respect and just enjoy myself,” said Sticklen.
Fillmore last partnered with Stutterd in the 2018 Bathurst 12 Hour when the pair linked up as part of a lineup that achieved third in Class B. Recently Fillmore has been cutting his teeth in GT racing in New Zealand, wrapping up the 2022 Three-Hour New Zealand Endurance Championship at Highlands Motorsport Park just two weeks ago.
“Sam’s a great bloke, I’ve raced with him for 10 years now and this will be a great event to go racing at so I’m pretty excited for this weekend,” said Stutterd.
“It will be a bit different going up against each other, we did it a few years ago for a couple rounds in sprint challenge and it was a lot of fun so really looking forward to it.”
The penultimate round of the 2022 Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge will run from November 11-13 at the Bathurst International.
