TekworkX Well Prepared for Maiden Bathurst 12 Hour Tilt
TekworkX Motorsport will tackle an all-new challenge this weekend, when they bring a star-studded IRC GT line-up to the Invitational Class of the Bathurst 12 Hour.
The Gold-Coast based team will field one of three IRC GT’s in the event, running the chassis that they debuted with pole position in the Marc Cars Australia Championship at The Bend Motorsport Park last year.
Danny Stutterd, who drove the car that weekend and owns Innovation Race Cars, will form one part of the driver line-up. Paul Tracy, the 2003 ChampCar Champion will grid up for his second Bathurst 12 Hour, after making his first start in 2019.
Australian GT racing stars Max Twigg and Geoff Emery will join them to complete the line-up. Twigg is a multiple race-winner in the Australian GT Championship while Emery is a three-time Australian GT Champion, who also has a Carrera Cup Championship to his name.
The path to a first Bathurst 12 Hour start continues the rapid growth of TekworkX Motorsport, after the team’s foundation in 2021. The team won over a dozen races in 2023, across Porsche Sprint Challenge and Carrera Cup.
The 2024 Bathurst 12 Hour starts at 5:45am local time on Sunday the 18th of February. There will be six practice sessions leading into the event, with Qualifying on Saturday afternoon.
All sessions will be either live streamed on the Bathurst 12 Hour Facebook page, or broadcast live on Fox Sports and Kayo.

Rob Woods – TekworkX Owner
“Being a relatively young team at TekworkX to now have the opportunity to run a car in the Bathurst 12 Hour is a privilege, and I can’t thank Danny enough for putting his faith in the team,” said Woods.
“We had a good test a couple of weeks ago and ran the car for some really long sessions. That allowed us to put a lot of stress on the car and it came through with flying colours, which is a testament to the Pace Innovations team.
“I really want to thank all our staff at TekworkX from our office staff, engineering, through to our workshop staff, everyone has worked tirelessly and especially in the last month to put this all together,” concluded Woods.
Paul Tracy
“I am over the moon to be returning to the famous Bathurst 12 Hour,” said Tracy.
“I made my return back into the driver’s seat, after a long hiatus, at the 12 Hour in 2019. The track is one of the most challenging I have ever driven in my career.
“The IRC GT will be an exciting car to race around the iconic Mount Panorama circuit.”
Danny Stutterd
“This is an incredibly exciting moment for the IRC GT, to enter one of the world’s most renowned endurance races for the first time,” he said.
“After racing the IRC GT at the Highlands One Hour I got a taste for what the car is going to be like in an endurance racing capacity, and it’s going to be a great addition to the field at the 12 Hour.
“With the knowledge of the TekworkX team running the car, we’re all looking forward to putting together a strong performance.”
