Tom McLennan Signs for Carrera Cup

Rising star Tom McLennan will make the switch to TekworkX Motorsport for the 2025 Paynter Dixon Porsche Carrera Cup Australia season.
The 19 year old will drive one of the team’s race-winning Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (Type 992) entries as he enters his second year of the competitive Carrera Cup Championship.
It will be the second time that McLennan has linked with TekworkX following a cameo co-drive role alongside Zoe Woods in the team’s Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS CS at the GT Festival round of Monochrome GT4 Australia last August.
McLennan made the step up to the Paynter Dixon Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Championship last year. He scored multiple top 10 results including in the opening race at Albert Park and in the final round on the streets of Adelaide.
TekworkX Motorsport debuted in the Paynter Dixon Porsche Carrera Cup Australia in 2021 and has solidified itself as one of the leading teams in the fiercely contested series. In 2024, David Russell led the team’s campaign and finished runner up in the title.
McLennan is the first driver to be confirmed as part of TekworkX Motorsport’s 2025 line-up, with the completed roster to be announced in due course.
The opening round of the 2025 Paynter Dixon Porsche Carrera Cup Championship season is at Sydney Motorsport Park on February 21-23.
