Ryder Quinn and Steve Jakic Continue Formidable GT4 Partnership at TekworkX Motorsport

Star GT4 drivers Ryder Quinn and Steve Jakic will continue their partnership in the Monochrome GT4 Australia Series, with TekworkX Motorsport preparing and running their Black Diamond Construction BMW M4 GT4.
The Pro-Am pairing joined TekworkX from the fourth round onwards in 2024 and combined for a string of excellent results on their way to second in the Pro-Am driver standings.
Quinn secured multiple front row starts for the team, including an outright pole position at Sydney Motorsport Park which underscored the raw speed in the TekworkX prepared BMW. Together with Jakic, the duo combined for two wins amidst six class podiums in the inaugural year for the series.
The pairing form one half of dual-class attack on the 2025 GT4 Australia Series, with Zoe Woods and Nash Morris recently confirmed to pair up in the Silver class.
Round one takes place at Phillip Island from April 4-6, as part of the Shannons SpeedSeries.
Quotes:
Steve Jakic
“It’s more than a team, it’s a family at TekworkX and we love that environment they bring to the track. We’re looking to go one better than last year and look to get on that top step.
“The category is just going from strength to strength, I’m proud to be part of it and just to be out there having a good time. The BMW is a lovely car to drive and the support from the factory is second to none, it really suits us well.
“Driving with Ryder is really enjoyable, he’s a great kid and I love watching him mature as a driver with every race.”
Ryder Quinn
“I’m very excited for this year’s series, coming off last year where we had a bit of success. Steve and I have been able to iron out a few more things and we’re ready hit the track running at the test day and for round one.
“This year’s going to be even more competitive, with a great field and new drivers. It will be interesting to see what the new partnerships are like and how we stack up against them.
“The BMW is a very competitive car and I enjoy myself every time I get behind the wheel. With every category like this there are tracks which suit certain cars more than others, but after last season I’m way more comfortable and happier in the BMW. It’s quite strong down the straights, but also pretty nimble, way more than what it would appear to be.
“We set the foundations with the team last year, and all that learning is over now so it’s only going to be better in 2025. It’s a great team environment, I enjoyed having Zoe as a teammate and with Nash coming onboard as well it’s going to be another experienced perspective for us all to work together from.”
Rob Woods, TekworkX Team Owner
“We really enjoyed having Steve and Ryder join us mid-way through the 2024 season, they really excelled in the later part of the year as they pushed hard to win the Pro-Am championship.
“Ryder is such breath of fresh air with his enthusiasm and positive attitude that brings the whole team together as one, along with his driving ability, where he put on a clinic several times last year.
“Steve is more like a mate than a customer, we talk regularly about many things other than motorsport, and with Steve and I both working in the building sector we have a lot in common. I know the crew at TekworkX love having them both, with their positiveness and laughs they bring.
“We look forward to them collecting more trophies this season, as Steve loves a trophy.”
