Ethan Feather to Contest Toyota 86 Scholarship Series with TekworkX Motorsport
Talented young racer Ethan Feather will make the leap to Toyota 86 racing when he contests the Scholarship Series with TekworkX Motorsport.
Feather has spent a number of years honing his skills as he rose the karting ranks, competing in the Australian Karting Championship across various classes. 2024 will mark Feather’s debut in car racing, with the Scholarship Series providing a platform to develop his driving.
The 2024 Scholarship Series will be contested over five rounds, including a season launch event at Sydney Motorsport Park on April 14. The series also visits Tailem Bend, Phillip Island, Queensland Raceway and Sandown – providing experience at some of the country’s most visited circuits.
Feather will be able to learn from the knowledge of 2018 Toyota 86 Series Champion Tim Brook.
The TGRA GR Cup Series Launch takes place at Sydney Motorsport Park on April 14. The TekworkX Motorsport team will be in action this weekend from March 21-24 as part of the Australian Grand Prix.

“I would very much like to thank Rob Woods and the entire TekworkX Motorsport family, who have made me feel so welcome as I embark on the 2024 Toyota 86 Scholarship Series,” said Feather.
“In the past year, I moved on from kart racing, while I completed my school studies and recently commenced an electrical apprenticeship.
“I’m in a great position with my personal life and can’t wait to pull on my lid for the upcoming race season with Tim Brook as my mentor. I’m looking forward to climbing the ranks and accomplishing my individual objectives during this race season.
“While I would like to pursue a career in the Porsche Carrera Cup, my primary goal at this time is to achieve a successful year in the Toyota 86 series.
“This adventure would not be possible without the enormous sacrifices my family make for me and I am sincerely grateful for this opportunity. See you at the track,” concluded Feather.
Rob Woods – Team Owner
“I am delighted to have up and coming young driver Ethan Feather, join TekworkX in the Toyota 86 scholarship series for 2024,” said Woods.
“Ethan comes from a background in karting, so he is no stranger to racing as he now progresses to tin top racing this season. Ethan has now completed test days at QR and SMP under the tutelage of our own Tim Brook, where he has shown the willingness to learn and ability that we feel will put him in good stead for the up-and-coming scholarship series in 2024.
“I do look forward to his first round at SMP in the coming month,” concluded Woods.
